Cuisine Adagio presented 2 events last week - again on the Mornington Peninsula. This location does appeal to many who are chilling out in their holiday house.

The first, hosted by Loredana in Dromana, was a rowdy affair with old friends and new vying for audio/ humour status.

A very creamy Risotto Milanese stopped them in their tracks momentarily as they savoured the sensual but delicate flavours. Lucky for us, the guests were wine aficionados, as they treated us to French bubbles, and exotic award winning reds from Foxeys Hangout. Yum!

Next was a lasagne type white fish & potato dish complimented by a green/ radicchio salad dressed with Australian EVOO.

Sweets of flourless orange cake and cream polished off this apparently very satisfying meal.

The second event, hosted by Fran in Sorrento, gathered a gaggle of females who were so entertaining with their laughter and chatter, I could hardly gain their attention to discuss cooking techniques.

Some old friends - tennis buddies, and some new - in a beautiful setting ( see photo) conducive to relaxing slow food ........

Entree was the famous Spaghetti Vongole, discussed at length in my August blog . Pippis from the Victorian coast were scrumptious in flavour.

Not UNO spaghetto remained, neither a pippi, so must have been good!

No complaints about troppo Al dente pasta. This pleased me as I find over cooked pasta quite unpalatable.

Pasta was followed by Rotella di Vittella (roast veal) accompanied by a very fresh mixed salad.

Pièce de Résistance - a scrumptious hazelnut/chocolate cake smothered in crème fraîche, raspberries & strawberries.

I think some of the girls came back for seconds.

All in all it was a happy and successful evening.

I am looking forward to doing lots more events as we approach the season of Racing, Food Festivals and Holidays.

Let me know if you are interested - stress free entertaining at home.......

Buon Appetito a tutti !!!
